Bristol Campgrounds’ ONE RULE
We figure that if your Momma raised you right, you’ll know what that means.
If she didn’t, then we’ll let Momma explain it to you…
EVERYONE IN YOUR PARTY SHOULD BE AWARE OF THESE RULES BEFORE THEY ENTER THE PREMISES AT BRISTOL CAMPGROUND.
RESERVATIONS — When you ask for a specific site or group of sites we try to honor your request, but we do not guarantee you will get the exact site you requested. Groups should enter a separate reservation for each site you wish to reserve in the name of the person who will be occupying that site. Note in the comments section the name of the group. The person listed on the reservation will be responsible for paying for the reservation upon arrival. You will be charged for any site that is not cancelled by the Wednesday of Race Week. You may remit payment to Bristol Campground, C/O Bill Gaines, 1116 Brown Mill Road, Unicoi, TN 37692. Do not remit prepayment. Pay only if you failed to cancel and did not occupy or pay for your a site you reserved. To Cancel a reservation you may use the cancellation form on the website or send an email to wjgaines@hotmail.com and specify the name and confirmation # you are cancelling. Phone cancellations are not acceptable. If your rig exceeds 50′ in length and you plan to remain hooked up, you really need two sites.
RESPECT FOR YOUR NEIGHBORS AND OUR CAMPGROUND – Park only on your assigned site. Your site is defined by the orange flags on the corners. The Blue flag with the label identifies the location of your site. Do not move to another site without approval from the campground office. If you have an extra car, it must be parked on your site as well. No site may have more than two vehicles on it. If you have other registered vehicles, they must be parked in the overflow lot in front. If your camper or vehicles are parked on someone elses assigned site, they will be towed to an impound lot at your expense and you will have to pay for the site. We take this very seriously, because we have had to move someone from their regular site because some one was parked it. Every site at Bristol Campground is a reserved site. Stay on the main roads, and do not cut across other peoples sites to get to your site. Anyone intentionally doing damage to the campground property will be charged a minimum $250 restoration fee.
GENERATORS – We allow generators. We just ask that you respect your neighbors. If you know your generator is noisy, let us know upfront so we can locate you where it won’t annoy your neighbors. Also try to baffle the sound with foam board or something. We have come to realize that there are many people who rely on lifesaving devices such as sleep apnea machines, oxygen generators, and other medical devices, and they must have electricity. Also, it is sometimes uncomfortably hot and stuffy in August and air conditioners are a must.
CAMPFIRES – We allow campfires. You may purchase firewood on site for reasonable prices. The Fire Marshall has insisted that all campfires be contained within a fire ring. A fire ring can be as simple as rocks, bricks, blocks, or an old tire rim. We have a good supply of these materials on site for free. Please do not bring pallets or wood with nails. This is a serious offense which could get you kicked out fast. Please clean up your firepit before you leave & don’t leave rock or blocks on the campsite. We have dumpsters. The Fire Marshall may impose a city-wide burning ban if conditions become dangerously dry. The Tennessee Department of Forestry has imposed a ban on wood from Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, and Maryland. They actively seek out firewood from these states, confiscate it. This is because of Exotic insect pests that do not exist in Tennessee. For more information on this, go to www.aphis.usda.gov/ppg/pdmp or call 1-800-628-2631.
PETS – We allow pets, and we welcome them, but we ask you to use discretion in bringing your pet. If your pet bites or could be considered dangerous, don’t bring it. You will be responsible for any injury or damage your pet causes. If your pet barks so much it would be a nuisance to your fellow campers, don’t bring it. Otherwise, we love pets too, so bring it on. Please keep your pet under control at the campground and clean up after it.
GOLF CARTS are allowed and encouraged, as long as they are operated safely. Bristol Campground has 10.3 miles of roads to explore and lots of new friends for you to make. We even have a golf cart parade. You must register your golf cart at the front office before operating it on the property. There will be a $10 fee to cover administrative costs. You may not operate any vehicle while consuming or under the influence of alcohol, and you must obey the 10 mph speed limit and not drive recklessly. You must operate only on campground roads, and carry no more passengers than your vehicle was designed for. If you do not operate within the rules, you will be asked to park your vehicle or leave without refund. These rules are for the safety of all of our campers and were made necessary because a few could not exercise good common sense.
ATV’s, 4 wheelers, 3 wheelers, Gators or mini bikes are NOT ALLOWED because of abuse of the rules and damage to our property in the past. If you bring one, you will not be allowed to use it.
HAVIN’ A GOOD TIME – We want everyone to have a good time. Please keep your neighbor in mind when having a good time and don’t get too loud. After 1 AM the noise level must be minimal. Out of control behavior, loud cursing, fighting, etc. could result in instant expulsion from the campground without refund. We have security and we won’t hesitate to call the police. It is our intent to keep our campground a safe, secure, and friendly campground at all times. Anti-social behavior will not be tolerated. If you can’t live with that, you are at the wrong campground. We ask our campers to help us be our eyes and ears as well. If you see something, say something. Call 423-341-3022 or 423-538-0004 to report anything that might need our attention. Our security team does not wear uniforms, but they are all over the campground and remain in constant communication with one another and the office.
KEEPING IT CLEAN/DUMPSTERS – We want to thank our customers in advance for your efforts to keep our campground clean. We have dumpsters throughout the campground, and your cooperation in using these is appreciated. If you leave your site like you found it, it helps cut down on operating expenses. At the least, if you would bag everything and put it together in one place, that would be helpful. Please do not throw trash, plastic and bottles into your campfire.
BRISTOL CAMPGROUND IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THEFT, ACCIDENT, OR INJURY. WHEN YOU COME IN THE GATE, YOU ARE ACCEPTING AND AGREEING WITH THIS POLICY. IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT THE FACT THAT BRISTOL CAMPGROUND WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THEFT, ACCIDENT OR INJURY, THEN YOU SHOULD NOT STAY HERE. WE DO WORK VERY HARD TO MAKE SURE THAT BOTH YOU AND YOUR PROPERTY ARE SAFE HERE. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO HAVE ANYONE REMOVED FROM THE CAMPGROUND WITHOUT REFUND AT OUR DISCRETION.
MAKE SURE THAT EVERYONE IN YOUR GROUP IS AWARE OF THESE RULES. THAT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PERSON WHO MAKES THE RESERVATION, BECAUSE YOU WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONDUCT OF YOUR GUESTS.
